What Makes Us Different
Many programs for children with autism in Nepal focus on care and supervision. Samanata is built differently. Every child follows a structured curriculum with defined learning goals, daily session data, and measurable milestones, because a child with autism deserves an education, not just a safe place to spend the day.

Our classrooms follow structured teaching methods, adapted for each child's Individualized Education Plan. Every child works toward clear, individual learning goals, and teachers record what was taught, what was learned, and what always comes next.
Children receive integrated therapy support, including speech, occupational, and behavioral therapy, alongside academic learning, not as a separate add-on. Each child's therapy goals connect to classroom goals, so progress in one area reinforces the other.
Our teachers and therapists are trained specifically in special needs education, not general childcare. Every adult working with your child fully understands prompt hierarchy, sensory needs, and how to support communication without taking over it.
A child's progress does not stop at the school gate. This program helps families carry classroom strategies home through practical training on visual schedules, prompt hierarchy, and communication tools like PECS. We also run sibling inclusion sessions so brothers and sisters understand how to connect and play, along with peer support spaces where parents can share experience and reduce isolation. On request, our team can visit a family's home to help set up a structured, autism friendly space.
Raising a child with autism often comes with questions no one prepares a family for, from disability rights and school entitlements to the emotional weight caregivers carry every day. This program offers parents and family members guidance on legal protections under Nepal's law related to Disability Rights and Children, along with psychosocial support to help caregivers process stress, grief, or uncertainty in a safe space. Families do not have to navigate the system, or their own emotions, alone.
Inclusion works best when it extends beyond one classroom. Through our partnership with Inclusive Education Nepal, we offer training for mainstream school teachers and shadow teachers, along with community awareness sessions on inclusive practices. This program is how Samanata's approach reaches children and educators outside our own walls.
We started Samanata because we kept meeting parents who were told to wait, to hope, or to simply accept less for their child. But we did not think that was good enough. Every child, including those with autism, can learn when instruction is built around how they actually think and process the world. That belief shapes everything we do here, from our curriculum to our daily documentation of a child's progress. This is not a place where children are minded until the day ends.
